Paragraph # 1 Cats Use Laws of Physics to Drink Liquids is what my article is called. I am summarizing about cats it also talks about how cats are interesting about this article that I just read about. My author is by Meera Dolsia is who wrote my article. This is the summary that they put when they wrote it cats are amongst the easiest pets to take care of - They clean themselves, are easy to litter train and most important of all, don't splatter liquid the way dogs do. This talent apparently also extends to bigger felines like lions and cheetahs - Now, researchers have figured out why and believe it or not, it involves some laws of physics!

The article I'm reviewing is the article titled, OMG! Our Universe Star Count Just Tripled!. This article states that two Yale scientists, who claim that we may have underestimated the number of stars, by as much as, two-thirds. According to researcher, Pieter van Dokkum, our Universe is not made up of billions of stars but about 300 sextillion or 3 trillion multiplied by 100 billion which comes to 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 or triple our original estimates.

This week I'm doing an article summary on the article “North America's Hurricane Season Begins with a Bang” by Meera Dolasia. The hurricane officially started back in June, and we have had a pretty good season so far; that is until until hurricane Irene, a category 3, struck north America. Chaos was unstoppable.

I am writing a summary over “Lizards Run on Water- Really!” written by Meera Dolasia. The only lizard that can run on water is called the Basilisk, named after a mythical Greek character with magical powers. This reptile looks like any other common lizard and lives in the same places. They live in South and Central America.

I will be summarizing the article, “ Will cloning ancient trees help cleanse our planet?” written by Meera Dolasia. While the Earth is being faced with natural disasters like the one in Japan, many people believe that humans have tilted the equilibrium balance of our planet so bad that is rebelling back. And if the planet is rebelling, is it too late to stop it before any more big disasters strike? A nursery tree operator, David Milrach, thinks we can by cloning the best specimens of the worlds oldest and most ecological valuable trees.

I am summarizing the article “Mandrill Monkey Figures out How to Get Some Space”. This was written by: Meera Dolasia. I have to agree that humans have it quite easy. If they don’t want to be bothered they either say so or put a ‘do not disturb sign’ on their door or wall. What can a monkey do when it needs some space? The main idea of this article is about monkeys needing space and what Milly figured out to do to get some.

My article that I read was called OMG! Flamingos Wear Makeup Too! by :Meera Dolasia. Well when I first looked at my article I thought wow how could a bird wear make-up like humans or would it be kind of different or the same I wonder? Then I got to reading the article, It seems that the flamingo's have figured out that if they apply an oil on their bodies in large amounts for long periods of time, it makes their pink color even more, attractive. With their amazing pink color, long legs and bills that look like hooks, flamingos are one of the most noticeable birds in the world. This really cool discovery was made by scientists from Spain's Donana biological station, who have been observing the flamingo's for three years now. This oil, has reddish-orange pigments called carotenoids. To me it was kind of confusing to understand what it meant but then I did some research and found out that the carotenoids are kind of like photosynthesis in a way because the carotenoids in the flamingo are protecting its skin and that is what the photosynthesis does in a plant but it protects its leaves from dying and stuff like that. That is what my article that I reviewed was about and I loved reading it, it was very interesting.

The article I reviewed is Exoskeleton Enables Paraplegic Student To 'Walk' At Graduation by Meera Dolasia. On Saturday May 14th, UC Berkeley senior Austin Whitney, was able to do something he would have never thought possible - Walk up to the Chancellor to receive his diploma. While the few steps may not seem like a big deal, it was nothing short of a miracle, for this 22-year old student, who is paralyzed from the waist down. The leg braces that Austin used at graduation were originally made to help soldiers, disaster relief workers, firemen and other emergency personnel carry large loads. The professors had to work around the clock to get the leg braces ready for Austin to walk at graduation and in the end austins dream came true and Austin says that while he had worn and stood up with the help of the exoskeleton many time prior to this, doing it in on the stage in front of all his friends and professors was a surreal feeling, one that he will never forget.

The article I choose this week is Hugh Herr the Ultimate Bionic Man by Meera Dolasia. Hugh Herr a 47 year old man can change his legs like everyone else can change their clothes. He has multiple sets of legs such as to climb rocks with, another to jog, etc. But, these legs aren’t your average legs these are legs made of state of the art materials and technology. This is so he can be 100 percent at whatever he does to be The Ultimate Bionic Man!

I do think that aliens can exist on this planet but i do not think that the samples on the bottom of the lake in California is not the prof that they exist because you never know if that is sample of a fish or a craw fish or even a person that drowned there and the samples were left behind.
