The purpose of our journal entries is to have the opportunity to become efficient and effective writers. The way we do this is by working hard at gaining confidence in our writing skills. Since writing is one of the ways we are judged in this world, we must practice in order to become better!
Our journal entries will be evaluated by meeting three distinct objectives:
1. Explain what we already know about the topic
2. Describe what we need to learn about the topic to be more knowledgeable
3. Evaluate how this knowledge will help us become more successful in our future.
Therefore, our first journal entry will be to select our own topic and address each of these three objectives. Remember, the topic does not have to be a science topic, but something we wish to write about.
