Everyone knows about chameleons being able to change colors, however did you know that some geckos) can do the same? In fact, they are so good at it, that some of their species haven't even been discovered yet! Isn’t that amazing??

The article I will be summarizing is The 'Dancing' Rocks of California's Death Valley, written by Meera Dolasia. The first main idea of this article is that California’s Death Valley can get to a very high temperature. Death Valley gets up to 125-130 degrees in the summer. The second main idea would be that the Death Valley has its assorted altitudes. The altitude goes from 282ft, below sea level to 11,000ft above sea level.

For the wonderful week of October 24- 28, I am doing my article review on Lyndon Baty Enjoys School through His Avatar! By Meera Dolasia. I don’t know about you, but sometimes, I don’t just go to school to get the education. I like to hang out with friends. Imagine if you couldn’t even go to school for that, what if you couldn’t even go to school? That’s exactly how Lyndon Baty, a freshman in high school feels. Lyndon suffers from a disease called Polycystic Kidney disease, which means that it weakens his immune system. So much in fact, that he has to spend most of his time by himself. Things are slowly but surely getting better for him though, all because of his ‘Avatar’…… Vgo.

The article I’m doing is called “The beautiful creatures that live in our oceans”. It is by Meera Dolasia. We have always know about the creatures that live in our oceans; But thanks to cameras we can actually see them! We now have excellent information, and beautiful pictures! These pictures were taken in the Bellinghausen Sea, in west Antarctica. One of the sea creatures are soft coral. According to meera, This is the first time the marine team has seen this beautiful soft coral, even though they have explored the area many many times. They are currently in the process of identifying the species. Another of the animals is the ice fish. Meera said The Antarctic Ice Fish who seems to thrive in waters of between -2 to 4 degrees Celsius have a built-in anti-freeze and no red blood cells in their bodies. Another of the fish is the skate. Meera said Skates are a rare sight in the chilly waters of the Antarctica. The creatures, which feed on shellfish off the ocean's seabed, started to disappear from the area as the waters near the Antarctica became cooler. However, as the temperatures get warmer, scientists are expecting to see them become a more common site in the region.Another one of the animals she described was the sea pig. According to her, The Sea Pig also known as Sea Cucumber, is one of the most common creatures found in the depths of our oceans. However, thanks to over-fishing, their numbers are being diminished quite rapidly. Similar to earthworms, they help process the sediment of our ocean beds. Some more interesting animals would be the sand hopper and the scale worm. What meers said about the sand hopper was thatnormal sand hoppers are tiny flea-like creatures that can be usually found on ocean beaches, these Amphipods, grow to gigantic sizes, thanks to the high oxygen levels in the Antarctic waters. She said The Scale Worm is one of the most abundant creatures found on the continental shelf. While it may look exotic, it is similar to an ordinary worm, except for its scales, which are an adaptation to the chilly environment it thrives in. about the scale worm. I chose this article because I have always found the creatures in the sea quit fascinating. I feel I’ve learned that there are lots of speacies we don’t know about. The information changed my knowledge about the creatures in the sea by me knowing how and why they are reappearing, or disappearing, or getting found. This knowledge will help me in the future by me knowing Why these sea creatures are doing stuff.
