This week the article that I am doing is called “Costa Concordia – The Modern day Titanic Disaster” by Meera Dolasia. This article is about a recent event that happened to a cruise ship right off the coast of Tuscan Archipelago. The final destination for this seven day cruise ended when the ship hit a rock which made a 160 foot long gash in the hull of the ship, which then made water start gushing in the ship at alarming speeds.

I am reviewing is World Smallest Helicopter by Meera Dolasia on 05/26/2008. This article is about a 75 year old Japanese guy named Gennai Yanagisawa invented the world’s smallest helicopter at Leonardo da Vinci's hometown. The helicopter is called GEN H-4; the helicopter weighs 165 pounds and has two sets of rotors that turn in opposite direction to maintain stability. The helicopter has four engines that it runs on. The four engines allow for a flight time of thirty minutes at speeds not exceeding 60 miles per hour. The helicopter can fly as high as 165ft; he is planning to do three 10-minute flights at the height of just 17ft, so that people can take a better look at the gizmo. So far, Mr. Yanagisawa has sold five Gen H-4's in Japan and two in the USA, for about $57,000 U.S. Dollars apiece. He is hoping that people will start to use them for their daily commutes back and from work. The reason I picked this article is because helicopter that small with someone riding it that amazing isn’t it!!!!! Also I thought that it would be cool to learn about this experience. I knew it was a Chinese or a Japanese person because they make everything but something like that WOW I just wanted to know about that. The other reason I picked this was because a helicopter that has 4 engines WOW right and it was sooooooo small it just amazed my eyes. That’s why I picked this article for this week.

Living in Auckland’s Sheep World, there are a flock of mammals that most definitely surprise you. Most sheep are an off white, muddy color, well not these sheep, they are PINK! This week I chose OMG! Are These Pink Sheep For Real? By Meera Dolasia. What caught my attention was really the PINK. How in the world could a person not be sort of surprised and interested in something like that? I know when I first saw it, I had to read the article just so I could know WHY? Why in the world would you dye a sheep pink? Well, this is why:

The article I have chose to summarize is Art Lovers Are Going Bananas Over Capuchin Monkey's Paintings. The author of this article is Meera Dolasia. While appreciation of art is subjective as a whole, that of abstract art is even more so. What appears to be a usless bunch of squiggly lines to some, may be worth hundreds or even millions of dollars to others. This reminds me of I picture I saw it said this is the world of smart phones and stupid people. What has gotting into our minds that wourth hundreds or millions of dollars?

This week I’m reviewing the article “Stump Your Parents With These (Easy) Science Questions” by Meera Dolasia. Parents have always appeared to be on top of things and seem to know the answer to every question but a recent survey of 2000 parents in Britain says otherwise. This survey has revealed that parents often dread questions related to science. Curious kids ask easy question all the time and parents hate it because they have no clue what the answer is.

I am doing my article on Stump your parents with these easy questions by Meera Dolasia.Thought your parents were always on top of things and have an answer for every question you may have? Turns out that this is often times a facade. A recent survey of 2,000 parents in Britain revealed that they often dread science related questions posed to them by their curious children only because, they have no clue what the answer is.

My article is By Meera Dolasia, and the name is Can You Spot The Endangered animals. Now all over the world there are a lot of animals that are endangered. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is a international non-profit organization that constantly trying to remind us to do the right thing to save the earth. Because in a couple of years the earth might not look the same, because of globe warming, or using our limited natural resources in sustainable manner. There are places like the rain forest that have animals that r losing there homes because of people cutting down the trees and then they dont have any where to live, that is how some animals are endangered. But most people dont see that what there are doing is hurting an animal, or its home. Like most forests cover about 3o% of earth but now ever since us the people have been cutting down the trees for what we mostly want, but now in the last 40 years we have managed to decimate about 20 % of the Amazon forest. That is more then the amount cut down in the previous 450 years. Now for you out there who cut down trees and dont care about the animals that you are harming then, in the next 205 years we might lose all of our rain forests. I hope for you out there that read this will think again before you cut down another tree. I loved this article because i taught me how all the animals in the rain forest are endangered and how many year that we might not have a rain forest, but i think that i pick the best article yet.

The article that I am summarizing is” Estonia's Checkers Championship Requires Superior Diving Skills”. What has diving got to do with a board game like Checkers? A lot, if you are thinking of competing in the national Checkers championship in Janeda, Estonia. That's because, the entire tournament takes place underwater!
